    • download and begin using our app

    • file a support ticket

    • provide us with feedback

When using our website, you may be asked to pre-register as a member and/or subscribe to our mailing list, which will require the following information:

  • Device type, operating system, and browser type


App

When using our app, we will collect the following information in order to be able to provide you with the services and features of greenband:

  • Name

  • Username

  • Email address

  • Telephone number

  • Physical address

  • Make, model, year, and other details about your vehicle (including charge state, charging configuration properties, and odometer readings)

  • Whether your vehicle is currently sharing live data, including the last time it was received and/or when it was first linked

  • Location of your vehicle, as well as location IDs if identified by you and within the scope of authorization you have provided for the sharing of such data

  • Your location

  • Limited aspects of your driving behavior, such as number of trips per day, distance per trip, start + end charge state, and total energy used

  • Image

  • Preferences, including preferred charging locations

For what purposes do we use information about you, and on what legal basis?

In this section, we describe the purposes for which we use personal information. However, this is a global notice, and where the laws of a particular jurisdiction restrict or prohibit certain activities described in this notice, we will not use information about you for those purposes in that jurisdiction.

Subject to the above, we use information about you for the following purposes:

  • To comply with regulatory obligations

  • To provide you with, and customize your experiences of email and/or text messages, including notifications, marketing correspondence, and updates on app and feature development

  • To provide you with features of our services, including location and availability of nearby charging stations, charging controls (including starting and stopping the charging process), and estimated costs of charging

  • For general business administration, and to support all the above, including administering your accounts, corresponding with you, fraud prevention, personnel training and quality control, and administration and troubleshooting

  • For business analytics and product improvement purposes

  • For other purposes that we notify you of, or will be clear from the context, at the point information about you is first collected

  • compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject;

  • the performance of a contract to which you are a party;

If you grant us permission to contact you via text message, we may share your phone number with third party text messaging services.  Currently, we use WhatsApp Business Services as a third party text messaging service provider.  Use and storage of your telephone number by WhatsApp LLC is subject to its privacy policy

Where is your information stored?

We store personal information on servers based in the United States.  

How do we protect your information?

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information that we hold from unauthorized disclosure, use, alteration or destruction.  Where appropriate, we use encryption and other technologies that can assist in securing the information you provide. We also require our service providers to comply with strict data privacy and security requirements.

How long will information about you be kept?

We will retain information about you for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected or the period required by applicable law, whichever is shorter.  The period will vary depending on the purposes for which the information was collected.  Note that in some circumstances, you have the right to request us to delete the information.  Also, we are sometimes legally obliged to retain the information, for example, for tax and accounting purposes.

What rights and options do you have?

You may have some or all of the following rights in respect of information about you that we hold:

  • request us to give you access to it;
